Year Round Competitive Teams

We emphasize true basketball skill development and the understanding required to play team basketball at a high level. We focus on building character through mental, physical, and social growth while fostering lifelong memories and friendships.

Who is Hoopsphere AAU For?

• For our most motivated and competitive players—boys and girls ages 8 to 17—who wish to compete in regional tournaments.

• HoopSphere AAU selection is by tryout only.​

There are two ways of trying out and being selected on a team:

​1) Year Round Evaluations:

• ​We conduct year-round evaluations, allowing players to try out at any time and potentially join the team immediately, depending on availability. Year-round evaluations can be scheduled at any time, provided there is space on the team. Interested players will be assessed during a team practice to gauge their readiness.

2) Quarterly Tryouts​

• Typically held in December, August, May, and March.

• We will email the exact dates and send the registration form prior to each quarterly tryout.

 

The HoopSphere AAU Program​

• 2 Competitive Tournaments per Month: Two to three games per tournament, typically held on Saturdays

• 4 Hours of Basketball Development per Week:

  • 2 hours of team practice focused on team concepts and chemistry.

  • 2 hours of elite skills training, including ball handling, shooting, and finishing.

• Player Evaluations: Regular evaluations to monitor each student’s progress throughout the year.

 

Locations of Practices and Games

• Practices and training are held at HoopSphere's Elite Flagship Facility or Theatre Gym in Fremont — both fully dedicated spaces for developing our young athletes.

• Tournament games are held at various gym venues around the Bay Area, including San Ramon, Dublin, and Oakland.

• Occasionally, depending on performance, the team may travel outside of the Bay Area for one tournament, such as to Reno or Las Vegas.

Tuition

• $520 Monthly (in a 4 week month)

• $115 Uniform (one time payment)

• $35 (one time registration fee)

*Tuition is processed monthly on the 1st of each month. Tuition is non-refundable. 

*Tuition will be prorated for players based on on the start date of the student
