MAKE UP REQUEST POLICY

 

At HoopSphere, we understand that short-term illness, minor injuries, and occasional emergencies can happen. To support our families, we offer a maximum of two (2) makeup classes per quarter as a courtesy.

 

These makeup classes are designed to accommodate short-term, unavoidable absences, such as:

  • Mild illness (e.g., cold, flu)/Minor, non-recurring injuries

  • Family emergencies or short-term travel

 

Your Reserved Spot at Hoopsphere 

 

When you enroll at HoopSphere, you are reserving a dedicated weekly spot in the program—not paying per session attended. Your child’s space is held every week, whether they attend or not.

 

This structure allows us to:

  • Plan class sizes/ratio

  • Assign the appropriate number of coaches

  • Maintain a high-quality experience for every student

 

Because our staffing and resources are fixed, we do not offer refunds or credits for missed classes. Instead, we provide a limited, structured makeup system, subject to availability.

Please note: Once a makeup class is reserved, that spot is held for your child. If your child does not attend the reserved makeup class without prior notice, it will still count toward the maximum of 2 makeup classes allowed per quarter.

​Quarterly Makeup Allotment

  • Makeups do not roll over to future quarters

  • Missed classes must be made up within the same quarter

 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Makeup classes are available only for students enrolled in Skills or League programs

  • Students must be actively enrolled to schedule or attend a makeup. If enrollment is canceled, unused makeups are forfeited

  • League students may attend a regular Skills makeup—there are no League-specific makeups

  • AAU students, including AAU Skills students, are not eligible for makeups

  • Makeup sessions may not match your regular class in terms of coach ratio, player level, or format

  • If you miss your scheduled makeup, it will be forfeited and cannot be rescheduled

  • We do not offer refunds, prorated tuition, or credits for missed classes or makeups

  • Due to high demand, availability is limited and specific dates are not guaranteed

​Makeup Class Time & Location

 

Makeup sessions are held at a dedicated time and location to avoid disrupting regular programming and to prevent overcrowding regular class timings

  • Day & Time: Select Saturdays at 5:30 PM

  • Location: 1409 Fulton Place, Fremont, CA 94539 (Fremont Flagship Facility)

 

No other days, times, or locations are available. 

 

This helps maintain class quality, coach consistency, and balanced group sizes.

Satellite Facility Students

 

(Dublin, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, etc.)

 

If you’re enrolled at a satellite location, you may request a makeup at your home facility during a different class time (space permitting).

​How to Schedule a Makeup

  1. Log in to your CourtReserve account

  2. Hover over “Events” and click “List”

  3. Filter by “Makeup Class” to see available sessions

  4. Choose any session with an open slot (typically posted 4 weeks in advance)

  5. Complete the sign-up with your child’s full name, age, and missed class details

 

You’ll receive an email confirmation once registered
